In this Startup Stories, you will get the chance to meet founders from the RUNWAY Startup Incubator. Our incredible founders will share their experiences about pitching to investors, how they started their company and what you should look out for when doing the same. And of course: you get the chance to ask all your burning questions about startup life, the founding process and anything else you are curious about!

The event takes place at the Technopark Winterthur in the conference hall, followed by an apéro at the Technopark Bistro. The event will be held in English.

Mario Assaf, Co-Founder Optiverse AG
Mario is the Co-founder of Optiverse AG: an AI Meeting assistant startup based in Zurich. He comes from a business background both academically and practically. Having completed his studies at both HEC and HSG, he went on to gain experience in sales, marketing and growth hacking through multiple projects before teaming up with his co-founders and starting Optiverse. Mario’s focus within Optiverse has lately been on Commercialization including marketing, sales, customer success and Business operations. Since the early days, he was always the link between the technical team and customers which allowed fast iteration cycles and fast feedback loops leading to market validation.
Dr. Daniel Wiedemeier, Co-Founder Pingdo.ai
Dr. Daniel Wiedemeier is a data-driven innovator with deep expertise in medical analytics, ML and AI. Leading a team of data scientists, he tackles complex challenges in healthcare, turning raw data into actionable insights. As an Accredited European Statistician with 100+ co-authored scientific publications and a lecturing role at the University of Zurich, he translates cutting-edge research into real-world impact. Now, as a driving force behind Pingdo, he’s bringing data intelligence to outpatient care, showing how new tools can revolutionize communication in healthcare.
Joel Schüssler, COO and Co-Founder Just Virtual Foods
Joel Schüssler is the COO and Co-Founder with over 10 years of experience in the gastronomy industry. A trained chef and graduate of a prestigious hotel management school, he combines culinary expertise with solid business acumen, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. His additional qualification in CAS Consulting Management further strengthens his strategic approach to leadership and innovation.
