Seasonal, ecological and always oven-fresh: Jens Jung bakes breads for epicures in the city center of Zurich.
Jens Jung from Zurich has already done a lot of things in his life. He was a farmer in South America, has lived in the US over a longer period and has worked as a travel guide. He remembers: “At some point I discovered the concept that bread is a luxury food.” Last autumn the time was right: The son of a baker Jung founded with private participants John Baker AG. The motto: no frozen percursors, guaranteed seasonal and local raw materials. They bake during the day; since 2014 in the shop near the train station Zurich Stadelhofen, and newly also at the Helvetiaplatz. In the meantime, Jungs coworkers serve approx. 1500 customers per day. By the way: Everyone who brings his own bread bag or coffee mug to John Baker gets a eco-discount.
