App adveristments are in trend: on swiss smartphones, millions of mini banners are inserted every day. To reduce scatter loss, most advertising planners book apps which match with their promoted product. East Swiss entrepreneur Erik Streller-Shen does it differently: He uses the locations specified by the apps and displays banners in very specific perimeters. His platform Geotargads has been active since the beginning of the year. One of his customers is the Thurgauer Kantonalbank. In the summer, the Thurgauer Kantonalbank has inserted references to their youth accounts on several thousands apps; but you only saw the banners at locations, where usually many adolescents are: in cinemas and public baths. Streller-Shen is confident: “Places are the keywords of the future.”
