Speaker
Ben Simon

While finishing his business studies, Ben gathered experience in different financial sectors for different brands in different positions. Ben quickly came to understand that this path wasn’t right for him. At VAY, he is responsible for all commercial aspects of the business and built up a team of 16 FTE in Zurich to democratise professional coaching in fitness and physiotherapy. VAY is a shooting start in sports tech: the spin-off from ETH Zurich was founded in 2019 by Joel Roos, Ben Simon, and Patrizio Bonzani. In only two years, the company won multiple awards and raised over CHF 1M in funding. In September 2021, the company announced its acquisition by US sports company Nautilus, making it one of the fastest exits in Switzerland.

Céline Spillmann

Céline Spillmann studied law, economics and computer science. She holds two bachelor’s and two master’s degrees and a paused doctoral dissertation. She was named to the ’30 under 30′ list by business magazine Forbes in 2020. The cycle care brand PERIOD. is her second company after having co-founded a LegalTech startup CASUS Technologies. With PERIOD. Céline aims to put an end to menstrual suffering and the taboo around periods. Her personal mission is to inspire and encourage young women within and outside the tech industry to be entrepreneurial.
