Ben quickly came to understand that this path wasn’t right for him. At VAY, he is responsible for all commercial aspects of the business and built up a team of 16 FTE in Zurich to democratise professional coaching in fitness and physiotherapy. VAY is a shooting start in sports tech: the spin-off from ETH Zurich was founded in 2019 by Joel Roos, Ben Simon, and Patrizio Bonzani. In only two years, the company won multiple awards and raised over CHF 1M in funding. In September 2021, the company announced its acquisition by US sports company Nautilus, making it one of the fastest exits in Switzerland.
