Are you thinking about founding your own company? Do you want to meet inspiring female founders? Are you curious about how it is to be a female founder in a male-dominated industry? Then join our Female Founders Event – free of charge!
Why?
Of all company founders in Switzerland, only approximately 20% are female and the percentage for science- and tech-based startups is even lower. We want to show aspiring female founders that there are many inspiring female role models out there.
Who can participate?
Women interested in entrepreneurship and women empowerment who are considering starting their own business; especially motivated and ambitious members of a Swiss university or University of Applied Sciences (students, doctoral students, postdocs, professors etc.).
This event is organized together with the University of Zurich and the UZH Innovation Hub.
We are looking forward to an inspiring event with all of you!

Sandra Neumann founded Peripal in 2015. Through her previous career, Sandra possesses an extensive network in the medtech industry and thus recognized the need of many patients for an easy and safe way to perform home dialysis. Peripal financed the starting phase with its own start capital and with the help of seed money. The young company received additional funding from awards such as the W.A. de Vigier Prize 2016, the Venture Top Five, the Idee-Suisse Award and the Angels For Ladies sponsorship award. In addition, a financing round with ZKB and Aargauische Kantonalbank, as well as private investors, has so far brought a mid-single-digit million amount into the startup. Sandra herself is now one of the best-known female founders in Switzerland and was recently awarded with the Recognition Award by the Female Innovation Forum. The logical path for Peripal would be a takeover by a large medical technology group.
